Tracer Technologies,
Inc., a Massachusetts corporation, was founded in 1970. Its product lines
include lithium-based cells and battery packs, as well as battery packs
assembled with nickel-metal hydride and nickel-cadmium cells. The present staff
level of TRACER at its Somerville, MA offices is 86, including nine with Ph.D.
or M.S. degrees in the sciences. TRACER manufactures specialty lithium
cells/batteries and has an active research effort in the development of improved
lithium primary and secondary cells, both at its manufacturing facility in
Somerville and at its subsidiary in St. Petersburg, Russia. It maintains a wet
chemistry laboratory facility which it uses to manufacture organic polymers and
inorganic spinel materials used in lithium cell research and development.
